Avant Homes: East Midlands' Head of Sales

David Warren

I'm David, the Head of Sales for the East Midlands region at Avant. I joined Avant a little over 2 years go, as Regional Sales Manager in our North Yorkshire region and in January this year was promoted to this role. I started my career in the housebuilding industry back in 2017 when I left my previous career in aviation where I had been since leaving school.

My role is incredibly varied, challenging, and rewarding. I could be meeting with Sales Managers to review marketing strategies and development updates, conducting market research to recommend land pricing, selecting show home designs with interior designers, or collaborating with the regional management team to discuss updates and opportunities.

Outside of work, I love travelling—especially cruises and RV trips—as they let me explore multiple places in one trip. On weekends, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my German Shorthaired Pointer, Cliff, exploring the English countryside and finishing with a pub stop for crisps and a bowl of water for him.

Achievements:

Before starting in the house building industry, I was Cabin Crew from 2006 to 2014. In 2013, I was selected as recognition, to operate as In-Flight Manager on the inaugural British Airways A380 delivery flight, as one of 22 operating crew, selected out of 12,000 cabin crew at London Heathrow, an incredibly proud career moment!
