Avant Homes North East has announced the release of three affordable three-bedroom family homes priced from £180,000 at its £28m, 135-home Brompton Mews development in Catterick.

Located just four miles from Richmond town centre on Cookson Way, the development comprises a mix of practically designed, energy efficient semi-detached and detached three- and four-bedroom homes.

The three affordable homes are available as part of the Durham County Council-backed discount market sale (DMS) scheme which offers eligible buyers 20 per cent off the market value price.

All of the properties are the Baildon house type which is a three-storey home, two of which are mid-terrace properties and the other detached.

The DMS scheme provides access to homes while enabling buyers to attain 100 per cent ownership and financial savings, making owning a new home more achievable and affordable.

All of the homes benefit from three generous double bedrooms, with the main bedroom enjoying the privacy of an entire floor at the top of the property.

There is also large living room on the ground floor, along with a modern open plan kitchen and dining area and French doors that open to the rear garden.

Avant Homes North East managing director, Andrew Finnigan, said: “We’re very pleased to make homeownership more achievable at Brompton Mews with these great family homes available through the DMS scheme. This initiative is an excellent way to help buyers secure quality homes at a more accessible price.

“The Baildons have been thoughtfully designed to cater to a variety of lifestyles, making them an excellent choice for individuals, couples and growing families alike.

“Those eager to learn more about this opportunity can speak with our sales team at Brompton Mews, who will provide details on eligibility and guide them through the next steps in the process.”

To be eligible to buy a discounted home, buyers need to meet criteria relating to their local connection and how much they earn. The DMS scheme at Brompton Mews is not limited to first time buyers and the decision on eligibility rests with the council.

Prices for the other available homes at Brompton Mews range from £253,995 for a four-bedroom semi-detached Saltire house type to £331,995 for a four-bedroom detached Horbury house type.
